Make .bak files update every 1000 turns

So, I just lost a character to a random crash. (r52 seems somewhat unstable in Windows, this has happened a few times) Fortunately, I was able to restore the game from a .bak file. Unfortunately, I hadn't saved in a few hours and lost a lot of progress. (ToEF, white unicorn quest, casino, and like 10 levels of the CoC as well as 5 character levels)

Now I intend to save as often as possible, but sometimes I forget. I recommend you have the game autosave and create a new .bak every 1000 turns like they do on the server. That way, you won't lose too much with a unexpected crash.

Also on ancardia server you dont need to have saved character to make backup. (its created automatically ?)
I very rarely save on ancardia. Almost never.

Backup on ancardia can be triggered manually using only SHIFT+s command but you dont need to save game.

Idea is very good beacouse noteye version likes to crash.

Just lost a very promising character to the first ADOM crash I've seen in a long time. Now I really want a rolling backup because that character had zero savegames, so I lost absolutely all my progress.

EDIT: In the other autosave thread, people were discussing stuff about savescumming. A couple relevant things:
1.) As of now (but probably not when people were talking in that thread) there is a way to set up ADOM games so you can just save&load. So people who want to play that way absolutely can, but they get a hit to their score. If people are really concerned about people artificially inflating scores:
2.) Include a counter in all savegames. When a .svg file is turned into a .bak file, increment the counter. When a game is saved manually as a .svg file, the increment is made meaningless. If a game is ever restored from the .bak file to a .svg file, the increment will still be around. At game over, display the counter with "You restored from backup <x> times." If someone posts a victory with a really high number there, it's highly suspect. If it's one or two and the person can explain them, no problem.

ADOM now creates a backup file every 1000 steps.
