Movement in Animated Forest - R65
Game runs very slow now

In R65 it seems the behind the scenes code is running a bit slower than usual.

i'm currently in the animated forest, digging around the sides and it takes 1-2 seconds each turn for the digs. I assume this is because the game is calculating all the tree movement and isn't very fast.

Just moving around also has a noticeable slowness about it.

Yes, very noticable lag on this level.

There's noticeable lag in greater vaults now (r66) as well.

Confirming this in all places where there are loads of monsters, both R65 and R66. Animated forest, greater vaults, D:50, ice queen level 5...

Might be just me, but there seems to be a bit of a lag in response times in R67 even on normal dungeon levels (tested on D15 among others). Movement seems more jarring in general.

Is this occurring for you in graphical mode or non-graphical mode (e.g. with NotEye or without).

Without. Also using the version which doesn't even have NotEye at all. So not just a case of switching to ASCII.
