I don't think 2) is realistic (without overspeed throght multiple fireball traps at least). You need what two moves before hew spawns? and if he does you have no realistic way of dealing with copy...
Maybe gnome with well trained ventriloquism could pull it off, but drakeling... not much of a chance.
So far rolled 15 casters with RoDS and shamelessly killed them within 200 turns. For eternium glory!
